all that is required is a phillips head screwdriver and some electronics knowledge and obviously the hard drive or ssd you wish to install there is a sata 2.5 inch drive bay for a sata based ssd or hdd and a m.2 ssd drive bay for installing another ssd other than the one it comes with

The internals of this laptop are very good. Lots of upgrade ability. You can get one 16 gb RAM card and be up to 24 total (put the bigger in the first slot) or upgrade to 32 and have a monster (I did 24). You can clone your drive to a 1 T M.2 harddrive and have a lot of storage. You can keep both in it laptop. It has very good internal components and extra slots. YouTube can walk you through the upgrades
