No batteries needed. It come with a charging case and cable. Just place the hearing aids in the case to charge. The case can also be used like a portable power bank for the hearing aids it can be charged and will recharge your hearing aids a couple of times with out having to be plugged into an outlet.

That means that you have a charging case wherein you can charge your hearing aids and do not need to remove any replaceable batteries.
