• Hi, BMarie, no, but by wearing a hearing aid in each ear, you will have far better sound quality than if you wear only one hearing aid. Your ability to locate where sounds are coming from will also be improved.

• They seem to be totally independent of each other. It is highly unlikely that using only one would cause a problem.
