QuestionHow large are the pieces produced by this shredder? Does it open by lifting top, which depicted as largely black in photo?

- Answer I have shredded up to 5 pieces of paper at a time as well as old credit cards! The top comes off easily. I put a paper bag over the top and turn it upside down. I am very happy with the way it destroys documents.
