In the Chrome browser, you can select Settings (three dots in the top right corner), then select "Cast..." wherein a tab pops up in which you select the "Sources" box and choose "Cast desktop". This will mirror your computer/laptop desktop to whichever display the Chromecast is connected to, through the Chrome browser. This is the best it will do and tends to be very slow and laggy. The Chromecast is really only good for streaming something like Youtube, and specifically from the Chrome browser. Trying to use it for anything else, or with any other browser, leads to poor results if it can be done at all.
