• If you connect this device to a mobile hotspot it will be using WiFi.

• Chromecast Ultra should be connected w/the supplied ethernet cord to a modem. Connected via wifi just isn't as reliable as hard wired and for using your mobile hotspot, I haven't tried that but I imagine that it's just terrible and not a good idea.
