Hi there, Unified! Thanks for your inquiry! Google Wifi is compatible with most internet service providers (ISP). You just need to connect it directly to your modem with the Ethernet cable to set it up and broadcast your Wi-Fi network. This device can keep your signal strong by transitioning you to the best Wifi point as you move throughout your home and the right Wi-Fi channel to avoid congestion. Just run a cable from the Mesh Router to the Modem and follow the easy directions. I've used our system with Spectrum and more recently with T Mobile and it works great. As for reach, I use three total for my property. One in the center of my house takes care of our living area including upstairs; the second in our back mudroom helps in the back of the house, plus takes care of the driveway, garage, and backyard; and a third located in the garage takes care of the pool and its patio beyond that.
