“What is the reach of just a single unit as a router? Will it work for an apartment with 4 bedrooms, approx 1800 sq ft? Will another unit be required to expand the mesh? Thanks”

Supposed to be 1500sqft. Wouldn’t hurt to add an access point for extra coverage.

Please know that barriers like heavy furniture and walls made of thick concrete or brick can influence Wi-Fi performance. 2 Google Wifi points should be sufficient enough as it can cover up to 3,000 sq ft.
