The Nest Doorbell (battery) can replace most wired doorbells, you can connect it to your doorbell wires and hear your existing chime when someone rings the doorbell. But this will require an 8 to 24 VAC, 10-40 VA transformer. We'd recommend that you check the compatibility first to know if a wired installation would work. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are 2 small screws on the back that you simply use the existing wire from your old doorbell - in the app there is a option to use battery or wired. Choose the wired option * May have to verify that your old transformer can constantly power this device but there are plenty of online/YouTube videos that can walk you through troubleshooting/fix
