They actually have an Outdoor cam (https://www.bestbuy.com/site/google-nest-cam-iq-outdoor-security-camera-white/6080400.p?skuId=6080400) that is waterproof and I'm almost positive that they will replace it if you send in the video clip of it being damaged or stolen. Furthermore if you are worried about damage to it you can get the best buy replacement plan that is spectacular. However, this camera should work fine although if rain is on the window or fog or any other sort of inhibitor it could prevent it from working properly quite easily.
