Just by approaching the camera the bad guys would be on video which is not stored on the camera. Yes it can just be unplugged but you will have video of them doing it. You can drill a hole through a wall to plug it into an electric outlet indoors. But if you do that why can't someone just walk up and smash the camera? Any camera outside can be compromised or simply covered.

But as a little extra security, I did install a lock box over my outlet. So unplugging it would mean they need to break into the box if they really want to waste their time. Or, you can install another camera catching what ever action is going on in the area of the outlet. In reality, these camera's are more for piece of mind than a true security system (keeping an eye on kids, watching vehicles, monitoring your area of interest, etc.). If there is a whole lot of shady activity around you, I would suggest getting a more upgraded security system.
