If the camera is installed somewhere that the vehicle is in view and has its plate towards the camera, yes. If the car is parked facing away from it, no, as the camera isn't magic and cant see through things. At night the plate is hard to read due to the night vision and the reflective coating on the plate, so don't expect to get a plate number in the dark unless the contrast of the plate is good or the reflective coating is dull (or has none).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has 1080p resolution, and is a wide angle camera. I don't think it would be able to read a license plate at any appreciable distance. Maybe from 10 feet away. 50 feet? doubtful.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Maybe but you have to use the digital zoom and the car should be parked.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It can read a plate perfect during the day. At night it's just a glare because of the RF.
