• It will work if you don’t have WiFi, but it was kind of be pointless as the energy reports are generated through the app which uses WiFi. And yes, propane heat was an option during set-up

• The Nest Learning Thermostat can be used without Wi-Fi, and as long as the proper wiring is available, this should work with a propane heat source.
