• Hi Sparkz. Thanks for your inquiry. The Nest Learning Thermostat 4th Gen requires a specific mounting bracket and wire harness that's different from previous models. Please use the ones included with your new thermostat.

• Unfortunately it won't fit in the old versions mounting bracket. You'll have to install the new version mounting bracket.
