How much square footage does a single nest cover? null

I would recommend looking up the fire codes for smoke detectors. You will need multiple smoke detectors throughout your home.

Not sure about Sq Ft. However, it can detect / smoke / steam if there is even for moderate smell. At our home it picked up grill smoke about 20ft away (technically smoke was around the hall as well). Pretty sensitive
