No. This unit requires WiFi in order to work.

No you'll not be able to connect to the smoke detector without a wifi! Your phone and the detector will need to be connected with the same wifi in order to communicate!

No, you'll definitely need a wifi connection to make it work right, as it does not have a mobile data chip. It'll just be a really expensive smoke alarm without wifi.
