“I am thinking of getting the Nest - Thermostat E When I am away from home in the summer, I do not want to turn the AC off but want it to keep the temp at 78 degrees to keep humidity down and wood floors from swelling. Can I do that - ie hold at 78?”

Yes you can just like the original nest there is not an actual hold function but you can set up schedules.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. You can set a time schedule and it will hold the temperature. There is also a cool to dry feature that reduces indoor humidity. Tons of other features. This is by far the best bang for the buck nest.
