Q: QuestionI am thinking of getting the Nest - Thermostat E When I am away from home in the summer, I do not want to turn the AC off but want it to keep the temp at 78 degrees to keep humidity down and wood floors from swelling. Can I do that - ie hold at 78?

- A:Answer Yes you can just like the original nest there is not an actual hold function but you can set up schedules.

Q: QuestionWe just installed a Nest 3rd generation We had to get advice from your support folks They were very helpful in setting up our nest to control heat only/no AC I this new model has the same capability to replace a Hunter Model #44550 5 wire system

Q: QuestionWill this tell you the current temperature in the home as well as the temperature that it's set to? We would like to use it to monitor if our heat is working correctly in the winter when we are not there.

Q: QuestionDoes the Nest E work with Amazon Alexa? Can you tell Alexa to turn the heat to 65 or turn it down to 62 and the type thing? That is the main reason I'd get it for elder parent that doesn't have a smart phone. Thx.
