A:AnswerHi Linda, thanks for reaching out. Nest WiFi Pro is built with Matter, the new universal standard that simplifies smart home compatibility. It connects and controls all your Matter devices, so they will work seamlessly with Google Home.
A:AnswerYou only need to plug in one of the devices and it becomes your "base" station. The others will connect to it wirelessly to create your mesh - so no you do not need to have a wired uplink on each of them to have service across them / extend your network.

A:AnswerHi there, Mark. You should not paint your Nest products because painting or covering them can affect their performance and functionality, and may void your warranty. Avoid solvent and abrasive material that may cause damage to the product surface, or pose a risk of fire or injury. For other inquiries, contact us here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp
A:AnswerHi there! Thanks for your interest. We don’t recommend using VPN with Nest products as high firewall security or parental controls can block communication with Nest servers, and may cause Wi-Fi connection issues.

A:AnswerHello there, Louis! Thanks for your inquiry. Most Wi-Fi capable devices are compatible with the Nest Wifi Pro. The Nest Wifi Pro uses the Band Steering feature that will attempt to guide your connected devices to the band with the best performance for each device. Ultimately, after analyzing wireless connections, your device will decide which band to connect to. A:Answer150 feet may be at the absolute outer range of what these can accommodate from what I have observed. I have a 3 unit system and each device is only 1 floor apart in a slightly staggered fashion. When I move them more than maybe 50 feet from each other there is a noticeable drop off in signal strength. The real question is will that distance you mention be behind thick walls and what kind of other obstacles would be present.
A:AnswerHi there, JD. The Nest Wifi Pro needs to be connected to a modem with broadband internet connection. Take a look at this link for the setup requirements and guide on how to set up: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7183148Hi
A:AnswerMy install went without a hitch. I connected then to my Xfinity moden/wireless router and it worked without a hitch.
I thoughtbI would have to put the router into bridge mode but didn't need to change any Xfinity settings.
Super easy!
FYI- I did however use a different SSID name to avoid handoff issues and make it easier to track network coverage and speed.
