Google has consistently had difficulty sustaining supply for their Pixel devices. There's no answer except that the company is only a handful of Nexus devices and two years of Pixel into phone production and distribution. Hopefully their recent purchase of HTC's mobile division and some lessons learned this year will make these issues a thing of the past in future.
