Happier than ever since replacing my Iphone 6 with the Pixel 2XL in early July 2018! Pictures are amazing!!! Holds charge wonderfully. Love, being a major Google Fan. Big ease of everything transferring over from the old phone. Synched up nicely with my at home devices Love the storage in my Google Pictures I can easily access online. Editing program is excellent. Phone works nicely too....Lol

I've owned the Pixel 2 XL for about 2 months now. Phone calls are crystal clear, web pages load quickly, the fingerprint reader is super fast and accurate, and that CAMERA! It's the best phone camera I've used. Now that Google has expanded Night Sight mode, I've gotten some amazing low light pictures (see attached photo). The portrait mode is amazing too! I love this phone.

Hello! So, I bought this phone on 3/22/19. I am writing this review on 3/25/19. I figured a few days would be long enough to give me a great consensus on how about I feel about the phone. Before I start, I just want to give some background info, and I promise I will be quick. My previous phone was the original Google Pixel (128GB unlocked). Before that, I had been an Apple loyalist, with varying models. My current work phone is an iPhone 8+. The original Google Pixel is what finally turned me on to Android! Speaking of which, on to this beautiful phone! I have been wanting to upgrade my phone since last year. I loved my original Pixel, however, the battery wasn't doing as well, and it was showing its age. However, with the pricing of new phones so high, I kept telling myself to hold-out for the Pixel 3, or even the 4 on a good sale. Well, I am glad I held-out, because Best Buy had the Google Pixel 2 XL on sale! A massive sale (with tax, I paid $430, with a protection plan)! Pretty impressive, right? Anyway...about this phone. I LOVE IT! The Google Pixel 2 XL is a fantastic phone! From the moment I took it out of the box, and powered it on, I was impressed with how it felt in my hand! It didn't slip, or made my hand feel cramped! It just fit perfectly into my hand. Setting the phone up was a breeze, since I was coming from another Google device, it was easy to transfer stuff via the cloud. I use Google Fi as my wireless carrier, so all I had to do was pop in the SIM card I already had (that's right, folks...despite being advertised as a "Verizon" phone, it's an unlocked device, that just happens to come with a Verizon SIM card pre-installed). The phone did it's updates (that took a while, cause there were a LOT OF UPDATES), but once it was finished with that, I got into downloading all my apps, pictures, etc. That was a breeze. This phone is super fast. I have played some heavy games on it, and it never lags! Not one bit! Switching in and out of an app is snappy. The software is great. It's as close to pure Android as you can get. I never noticed any overheating while playing with it or even charging, but I will let you know over time if I do. Call quality is amazing. I didn't notice any static when on calls. Audio has been crystal clear. Easy to hear. The speakers are LOUD! Which, for me, is a great thing, cause I love music. The fingerprint sensor, in my opinion, is the best one on a mobile phone right now. Apple and Samsung could really learn a thing or two from Google in that department. Charging is super fast, thanks to rapid charging. I think it only took about 45-50 minutes to fully charge. Speaking of the charge, my battery lasts all day, with lite to moderate usage, with about 25-35% when I get home after a long day of work and classes. The camera is absolutely superb! Pictures always come out gorgeous. I think the camera is the true shining star on this phone. It just cannot be beaten, in my opinion. I definitely recommend getting a screen protector for this phone. I got mine off Amazon for like $7. Not those cheap-feeling ones either, it's a really strong one. Case is optional, but I highly recommend it, especially a clear case to show off the phone. I also recommend getting the Geek Squad protection. Phones are expensive, and it's worth protecting your investment. It's nice that Best Buy has the much cheaper option to pay for protection on a monthly basis. I really do not have any complaints about this device. I think it's the best phone out there (I'm sure the Google Pixel 3 is better, but for now, I love this one). I haven't had any of the issues some of the 1-star reviews complain about. If I do, I will update my review. I highly recommend this phone! PROS: EVERYTHING! CONS: NOTHING YET!

This has been in my opinion the best android phone of 2017. Despite the well known issues with the display which is manufactured by LG in my experiences, it has been superb. I haven’t noticed any of the image retention or burn in issues others have seen. In fact the display has performed very well! The front facing speakers have been terrific, the build is top notch, and the squeeze to invoke google assistant has actually been pretty convenient. There is no wireless charging but in reality that makes it out to be a compromise because they’ll use glass instead of metal. Honestly, if you’re on the fence about this phone, get it! It has the perfect mixture of great technologies and very few compromises!

After having been a longtime Samsung Galaxy owner, I was finally thinking about seriously moving to an iPhone. I got fed up with how quickly my phones were getting bogged down by apps I never used and couldn't uninstall (thx Samsung) as time went by. However, with our home being set up as a Google Home (Chromecast, Home Max, Google Assistant and Ecobee) I was reluctant to move away from Android all together. I was told by a few iPhone loyalists to take a look at the Google Pixel phones, which apparently some of them were actually considering. After a little bit of web searching and a hands on review at my local BB, I made the decision to go ahead and buy into the Pixel phone family. I can honestly say that I can't believe what a difference there is between this 2XL and my previous Galaxy Note. Without all of Samsung's bloatware, I have never had a phone run so smoothly. Call quality is terrific in HD and the camera (both stills and video) is out of this world!!! Battery life so far has been extremely good for me as I rarely need to charge my phone more than every other day. FWIW, I do stream an average of video or but play no music so YMMV based on your usage. I do miss having a 3.5mm headphone jack so it will take some time getting used to wireless only listening but overall I am thrilled I made the decision to stick with Android and buy the Pixel 2XL.

So far I love the Google Pixel 2 XL. It's easy to use, really fast and so much lighter and sleeker than my Sony Xperia phone. Pictures are great. The sound is very clear. I'm really enjoying this phone.

This is an excellent phone. It is light-weight, fast, and looks great. I upgraded from a Pixel XL (which is also an excellent phone), so really only two things are major improvements for me: 1) the screen is larger and 2) the processor is super fast. The camera is still the best on the market and I still love the fingerprint scanner on the back. The only thing I don't like is the dongle for the headphones (still not a deal-breaker), but then again, I should just get a decent set of Bluetooth headphones. This is the best smartphone out there. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

I've been a Google Nexus user since the Samsung Google Nexus S (which I bought at Best Buy many years ago). Since then I've only used Nexus devices because of the purity of the Android UI (user interface). I've had a NEXUS 6P for a couple of years and loved the phone itself, but the battery and the bootloop issues started to take its toll so I bought an LG V35 thinking it would jive with my Google Fi service as it was sold by Google Fi for use on Google Fi. Apparently, LG has its own take on the Android UI and it wasn't pretty. In fact, it was awful. Needless to say, I got rid of the LG immediately and picked up the Pixel 2 XL on close-out from Verizon. The transition was smooth as silk. EVERYTHING from my old phone was transferred including texts, settings, wi-fi passwords, etc. Of course the last update on my Nexus 6P was Android 8.1 Oreo, so moving to the Pixel I am now running the latest Android 9.0 Pie, which is awesome. The biggest upgrade for me is the camera. It really is pretty amazing what they've been able to accomplish with such a tiny lens & sensor. The battery is a big jump from the Nexus 6P, too. My Pixel 2XL lasts all-day and I have yet to have to top-off the battery once I'm home from work. This one truly is an all-day battery. My only beef is the lack of a 3.5 mm headphone jack. It does include a usb-c adapter, but I'm just old-skool like that. I being able to just use my existing headphones without an adapter. One other thing, the speakers are not as good as the Nexus 6P. Part of that I attribute to the fact that the Nexus 6P was not IP rated water resistant. I really don't use the speakers much anyway, but the sound is more claustrophobic and not quite as loud. Other than those little quibbles, I'm VERY happy with my Pixel experience thus far - especially for the $$ I paid.

So in today's social media life a decent camera is a must and the best of the bunch is the camera on the Pixel 2 line. It beats out any iPhones or Galaxy phone. Don't let the single sensor fool you as it really can take some breath taking shots and it's amazing that the single front facing camera takes better portraits than the iPhone X. This is Google's own iPhone and if you are looking at changing from iOS then this is the way to go. I dropped it to 4 stars because if the shameful removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack.

I've had this phone for several weeks now, and it's been so much fun to use. Everything is extremely responsive and smooth; pictures look great and battery life has been very, very good. I had a Nexus 6P prior to this, and the battery life is so much longer on the Pixel you can't really compare the two. Yes, it is pricey, but if you're looking for a high quality phone with great battery life, excellent picture capability and the latest "pure" Android experience, this is your phone.

I am very happy so far with this phone. Feels faster than my prior Android phone. Google assistant integration is great and convenient. Dual speakers are a joy. Screen size and usable area are greatly improved while being quite handy. Great, clear pictures. Love the fast charging and two day battery life. Con: requires USB-C converter for my current headphones.

I'm not one of the people who has a bias in the whole Android vs iPhone war. I appreciate all phones for many different reasons and have owned dozens of iPhones and Android phones. Now that I have said that ... I really love this phone. It has a great screen and a really awesome camera. This is my first Pixel phone and I knew they were supposed to have really good cameras. I didn't realize how awesome the camera was until I actually took a couple of pictures and was blown away at the quality. This phone has great battery life. It works flawlessly but to be fair so has every other phone I have ever had. I bought this phone because I wanted something with a big screen for using Waze and Spotify during my commute. For anyone that appreciates a larger phone I think this is an excellent choice.

I read so many reviews. Watched some many YouTube reviews. Despite all the wishy washy garbage floating, I took the plunge. You really have to decide what is most important. Having updates like Apple, timely, and often. Or go with another device. I just moved from another manufacturer over to the Pixel 2 Xl after only eight months with the other device. I received four, four updates in eight months. Beyond that, the Pixel Android experience on this phone is hands down the cleanest, fastest, most efficient Android experience you will ever have. This phone hiccups at nothing. The Blue Tint hype around the screen are negligible, and I didn't notice it at all. The latest version of Android allows you to adjust the color of the screen with a couple of presets which help immensely. I have used many AMOLED panels over the years. Once your are used to looking at that type of screens for years, you expect a certain look. This screen is not as sharp as the Samsung panels but the colors are pleasing and above average. I purchased the black model and the texture of it reminds me of my HTC One m7 back in the day. Camera is AMAZING. You will want to take more pictures when you have this with you. Battery is stellar. Just can't say enough good things about this device. Nothings perfect but this, is perfect for me.

I'm a big fan of my new Pixel 2 XL. This phone works like a dream as a second compact computer in many ways. I'm a PC enthusiast, so I treat my smartphone as an auxiliary computer. I'm glad I went for the higher price of a premium device with the larger screen. The Google software-hardware integration is a big plus for me. I care less about the camera or the video display image quality. Those things are very nice with this phone, but the operation speed and feel make this phone great for me. The XL size has also proved to be a smart choice for my user enjoyment. I haven't noticed any negatives yet.

After 3 weeks of usage, I can proudly confirm that each buck i spent on this phone is worth it. Best Camera I ever used on phones so far. I even have iPhone X but Pixel 2 XL beats it by little. And the design? Its amazing and light weight

The screen is great the sound and software are also great. There are so many apple hired reviewers hired to try and hurt the sales of this device just so you know. But the pixel is simply amazing super snappy clean interface and even the Verizon version boots as google not Verizon. You can also remove every single ounce of bloatware. It charges super fast and takes amazing front and rear pictures.

this device suffers from many reviewers, because almost every video an you tube, and every article out there said that this device has problems mainly with the screen, that it feels cheap and others of the sort, however, in my own experience i can say that it is a great device, don't get me wrong it has small problems none of them are something that an everyday user like me would notice without reading the reviews before hand, also i have come to realize that these tiny problems are not nearly as bad as to what most people said. This is my first google phone never before own a pixel or nexus device (i owned galaxy S4, Galaxy S7, iphone 4s, iphone 6s, moto X 2016, blackberry Z10 and many others before this one) and i am sticking with the pixel line from now on.

I really, really liked my old Motorola Droid Turbo, but it was getting old and I wanted a larger screen. I did a lot of research because this is a significant expense. I even considered (briefly) going over to the Dark Side (Apple) because my wife and daughter both have the iPhone 7 Plus. In the end it came down to this phone and the Essential PH-1. I really like the PH-1 but in the end decided to splurge on the Pixel 2 XL. So far I love it. I have none of the issues with the screen that I read a lot about. It's beautiful, fast, and the software is great. Highly recommended.

I HAVE HAD MY PIXEL 2XL NOW FOR A LITTLE OVER 6 WEEKS. MY 2 PREVIOUS PHONES WERE LG PHONES, AND I REALLY LIKED THEM, BUT MY LAST ONE GOT TO WHERE THE BATTERY WOULD NOT HOLD A CHARGE MORE THAN A FEW HOURS. I WAS DEBATING BETWEEN THE PIXEL 2XL, THE SAMSUNG 8 PLUS OR 9 PLUS, ANOTHER LG, OR THE ONEPLUS 6T. I DON'T THINK I COULD HAVE GONE WRONG WITH ANY OF THOSE CHOICES, BUT DECIDED TO GET THE PIXEL 2XL FOR SEVERAL REASONS. I DO A LOT OF RESEARCH, TO THE POINT THAT I END UP MORE CONFUSED THAN WHEN I STARTED SOMETIMES ;-). THE REVIEWS FOR ALL THE PHONES I HAD NARROWED DOWN WERE ALL VERY GOOD, BUT I KEPT GOING BACK TO THE PIXEL BECAUSE OF THE CAMERA PRIMARILY, ALONG WITH THE GOOGLE PHOTO STORAGE AND 2 YEAR MANUFACTURE WARRANTY. ALSO WHEN I WAS READY TO PURCHASE BEST BUY HAD A GREAT PRICE FOR VERIZON'S MONTHLY PLAN. WHILE IT IS A VERY NICE PHONE I STILL NEED TO SPEND SOME TIME LEARNING SOME THINGS ABOUT IT, ESPECIALLY THE PHOTO STORAGE. I HAVE BEEN USED TO A "GALLERY" THAT PICS WENT IN TO AND WAS EASY TO NAVIGATE. THE PIXEL DOES NOT HAVE A GALLERY SEPARATE FROM GOOGLE PHOTOS, EVERY PICTURE YOU TAKE GOES THERE. ACTUALLY IF YOU HAVE HAD A GOOGLE ACCOUNT YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT, EVERY PICTURE I'VE TAKEN EVER SINCE I HAD SMART PHONE HAS BEEN SAVED IN MY GOOGLE PHOTOS. BUT I FIND IT IS NOT AS EASY TO NAVIGATE AND DO THINGS AS QUICKLY AS I COULD THROUGH THE "GALLERY" THAT WAS IN MY PREVIOUS SMART PHONES. THAT BEING SAID I'M SURE I CAN PROBABLY FIND A GALLERY-TYPE APP TO DOWNLOAD THAT MAY BE EASIER TO USE. I GET THAT I JUST NEED TO PLAY AROUND WITH MY PIXEL TO LEARN SHORTCUTS AND SUCH, SO I DEFINITELY WOULD STILL RECOMMEND THIS PHONE BECAUSE OVERALL IT SEEMS TO BE A GREAT PHONE. SO FAR I'M IMPRESSED WITH THE BATTERY LIFE, BUT TIME WILL TELL. THIS PHONE DOESN'T HAVE A REPLACEABLE BATTERY, AND WHILE YOU TUBE VIDEOS CAN BE FOUND ON REPLACING THE BATTERY, I'M SURE YOU WOULD VOID THE WARRANTY BY DOING THIS. THE DISPLAY IS AWESOME, YES A HINT OF COLOR CHANGE WHEN YOU TILT THE PHONE BUT ABSOLUTELY NOT A BIG DEAL. THERE IS A BIT OF A BEZEL, ESPECIALLY TOP AND BOTTOM, BUT STILL AN OVERALL BIGGER DISPLAY IN THE SAME SIZE PHONE AS MY LAST LG(V10). I'M SURE AS I LEARN MORE ABOUT HOW TO USE DIFFERENT FUNCTIONS OF MY PHONE I WILL BE EVEN MORE PLEASED WITH IT.
