I did not have a contract, since I had my mini S3 for a long time. What I did was bought the new phone and went into a prepaid plan. My monthly bill is low. But remember if you're going to a post paid account into a prepaid account, you have to do it at over the phone. It was easy as long as you have a sim card in the new phone. I also kept my old number.

Please try again later.You should be able to either just go into your local Best buy and tell them you want to purchase it unlocked, or you can order it online and take it into your local Verizon to get a Sim card for it. ( I believe it has a different Sim from s3) as for contracts that can be done in either store, or by downloading the google contacts app and setting up a backup to Google's servers then when you set your new pixel up they should transfer over.
