Number one, why put it on layaway as it will only get cheaper in the future. Number two I would seriously recommend not buying a pixel phone. My pixel lasted 2 weeks and then went to bad after spending 6 hours with Google service in India and then another 2 hours with a corporate resolution team they gave me two options. 1) I could drive some distance to get it to the unknown third party service center, or I could send it in for a 7 to 10 day turnaround on service. this begs the question, what if this is your only phone? Google does not care oh, I am in sales in marketing and I had to buy another phone, swap the Sim chip and then return the phone that I bought as a backup. My advice, do not buy a pixel from Google because if it doesn't work correctly when you get it, it will be torturous to get it repaired.
