This may not answer your question, but here's what I experienced. I saw on-line that I would get a $100 dollar gift card and a Chromecast with my Pixel purchase. I went to Best Buy expecting my order to be placed on backorder only to find that they had some of the phones in stock. White only, and only with 32gb of storage. I decided to purchase the Pixel then and there, and received a $100 Best Buy gift card. When I asked about the Chromecast, I was told that the Chromecast was only available to people who pre-ordered it. I wasn't too disappointed since I already had two ChromeCast devices at home.
