• It does not have a microSD slot, but there are two USB C ports and lots of connectivity options. I own a Pixelbook and can say you should expect to buy one or two inexpensive dongles to carry around with the pixelbook for extra connectivity. If you have existing USB card readers or flash drives, you can use them with a USB Type C to USB Type A adapter (USB C Micro SD card readers also exist). Simple USB Type C to USB Type A adapters with one port are under eight dollars.

• No but the USB C is much much much faster and far more usable.
