Google Wifi has 2 Ethernet ports (LAN and WAN). You can connect Google Wifi directly to your modem's WAN port with the Ethernet cable to set it up and broadcast your Wi-Fi network. Then, you can wire your desktop computer or a switch to the LAN port of the Google Wifi.

But to answer your question, you can connect your modem to this puck and also an Ethernet cable from the puck to the computer. This way your computer will get internet directly from the puck while everything else is wireless. I have a netgear modem router combo that I set to bridge mode . Two Ethernet cables go to game systems while another goes to The main google puck. On an extra puck in another room I have an Ethernet cable going to the computer. I can pull about 400mbps hardwired and 150 max wirelessly throughout the house.
