Yes. Used it underwater everyday on my trip and rinsed it in fresh water each day when I returned back. No issues.

The remote/camera wifi has a hard time transmitting when under 3 feet of water. Also, the remote is not scuba/swimming/snorkel worthy in my opinion, as its waterproof to only a 10 foot depth.

According to GoPro, the Smart Remote is waterproof up to 33 feet, or 10 meters. - Justin
