• Yeah, it's a stereo feed and if you mean split it to have two stereo feeds, you can get a splitter anywhere (Walmart, Best Buy, Amazon, the airport). Just look for a headphone splitter. If you want to split the left and right channels, you can find those as well (Amazon and Guitar Center for sure).

• Definitely worth a try. Since you'd be using the adapter, plus a splitter then two separate cables, as long as they aren't too long you shouldn't have to worry about signal loss either.
