I bought it for my grandson and he put it over his head and on his first snorkel dive it fell off to the bottom of the ocean on the first day he used it. Lost the GoPro and the Adventure Kit and the 64mb installed extra memory card.... over $400 at the bottom of the ocean!! If you do use it....add a strap to your arm or something.
A:AnswerYes, the HERO9 Black is waterproof on its own down to 33 feet. If you plan to go deeper than that, there is a protective housing for the HERO9 Black that is sold separately that is great for deep dives.
