Can the head strap fit over a helmet? null

I wouldn't do it unless you add an extra strap to your arm or neck or something. I bought it for my grandson and he put it over his head and on his first snorkel dive it fell off to the bottom of the ocean on the first day he used it. Lost the GoPro and the Adventure Kit and the 64mb installed extra memory card.... over $400 at the bottom of the ocean!! If you do use it....add a strap to your arm or something.
