No the case itself it already waterproof. I used mine all summer at the water parks and local rivers. No leakage.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You shouldn't need a case. Mine is rated for over 100 feet as I recall. Just make sure everything is closed. If the camera has been abused or banged around, you could possibly get a crack in the shell or a compromised seal. Mine has held up just fine. I'm careful with my gear, but most of it does not get babied.
