- Answer Yes, but for depths over 30 feet you will need the waterproof dive housing. You would also need the dive filter in order to preserve the color saturation lost at depths.

QuestionI am searching for a camera to mount on a grain bin to monitor capacity. I would want to be able to check it several times a day on an IPad. Which camera would work for what I need it for? No recording needed. It is to save climbing the bin 10 times.

- Answer Better off with a wifi security camera. Gopro would get a bit flakey over time and can over heat depending on conditions it is in. With a warm and dry area like a grain bin, it might end up grilling a gopro.

- Answer Depends on the sd card. I have a 256 GB micro sd card that records for 6.5 hours. Only problem is, gopro batteries only last about an hour, so buy spares and a mobile charger.

- Answer Yes But it’s not needed if your just snorkeling or pool use. Water proof case is only for diving and for filters that clean up your pictures and videos underwater.

- Answer It will take both. Pictures are 10 megapixel and recording at "maximum" is 2k.

- Answer The batteries for the HERO4 are different than the HERO (2018) does, so batteries and battery chargers won't work, but most of your mounts and other accessories should work.

- Answer Depending on your settings, the HERO battery should allow for between an hour and 20 minutes to two and a half hours of recording time. For longer shots, you can also power the camera using an external power supply. And yes, the HERO does have a time lapse option.
