In short yes, but lots of variables to consider. You would want to use the GoPro without the protective case and with no audience interference. If it were me, I would want the end xternal mic for even better audio.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I wouldn't use the waterproof housing to record music, it's noisy. They make a "frame" mount that only wraps around the perimeter of the camera and doesn't emphasize the tapping you hear with the waterproof mount. I'm not sure how good a stereo separation you would get, but there are ways to use a wired mike. I think there's a version of the black designed to record music.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.this camera allows to get closer to the instrument without getting distortion or over feed... i played a djembe with a full compose band and the video sound great!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Live recording is always difficult. You can record sound on a GoPro, but it will distort depending on how close you are to the band and if you are using the case or not. Your best bet is to get a sound recorder (I love the Zoom H4n) and use that to record the sound separately. You can control the levels with an H4n, too, so the chance for distortion is less, and to match the sound and video in post, you just use PluralEyes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Its great... Just make sure you don't use the waterproof case. Take off the back case of it. Its detachable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I went snow tubing last week in Colorado and with all the win and noise I coul hear myself and everyone around me very well. I thought the same thing when I bought it and tested it out ,but when you replay it back on your laptop the sound is perfect. Hope this helps!
