The GoPro - HERO4 Black never ceases to amaze me; super high resolution in a device so small you can close your fist around it. The image quality is like nothing I've ever seen in a large, expensive camera. Learning all the settings was a matter of experimenting while taking it out hiking, rollerblading, even to the zoo. I bought several of the GoPro mounting accessories; head/helmet, chesty, 3-way selfy stick, etc., and found them easy to use and easy to switch from one to another. I especially like the versatility of the 3-way, adjustable stick. When I downloaded the videos into GoPro Studio for the first time, I was amazed at what I saw, especially the rollerblading footage. I extended the 3-way, adjustable selfy stick and held the camera out so that it could seemingly "fly" through the many trees and foliage that surround the path where I skate, getting as close to the leaves and branches as I could. Every leaf of every frame seemed to be in perfect focus with almost NO motion blur. With all the settings that are possible with this camera you get a wide variety of ways to capture your experiences. It's so good, the only way you would not get the best shot possible is if the camera was turned off.

I bought this camera through an Amazon price match which saved me about $80. I already had a Hero 2 so I was familiar with how GoPro cameras work. The Hero 4 Black is the best GoPro to date with 4k res and high frame rates for 1080p shooting which is great for youtube. It handled the sun really well on my Colorado trip to the mountains. Many friends have been impressed with the video quality. It pairs well with the gopro app as a preview screen and makes it easy to capture still frames from videos too. The best part of the free GoPro app is that you can change all the features and settings on the camera easily. Overall I am satisfied with the GoPro. Make sure you get plenty of mounts to go with it in order to get the full experience of the camera.

I already had a GoPro 3 black so buying another GoPro (4 black) was difficult to justify but when you had a sale, Kristen at Southgate Best Buy convinced me. She explained the superior quality of the digital videos. The 4 K is awesome. A number of my Kayak videos have been turned into GI-TV so a Grosse Ile Township video can be developed to promote tourism and entice visitors to visit Grosse Ile, MI.

This is a camera that can do anything. I bought this along with all attachments (get the generic bundle) but still had some issues not being able to see what was filming so I bought the lcd. I wish the software to download Nd edit was a bit more stable and user friendly but it takes incredible pics and video once you figure it it out. Have not played on my 4K TV. Every video I have in 4k ends up being green screen. Probably something I did but in learning.

All in all, very happy. I would love it if somehow GoPro could figure out someway (obviously not an easy problem to solve) to not wash out the sky in very bright situations. But there are workarounds.. Get a set of ND FILTERS and Polarizer! I have attached 2 photos taken w. this go pro. One with the polarizer, the other without. Sadly I couldn't find an easy kit that allows the use of both polarizers & ND filters so the sky is conversely blown out. Oh well, this is expected on all cameras unless you know exactly how to minimize it using said filters in combination.

I have had an awesome time with my new GoPro. I would recommend getting extra batteries. When shooting 4k video, you lose battery life very fast! The camera takes spectacular videos as well as photos. Overall a great product.

Wicked action camera for the money! What i like about the hero 4 black: -Burst rate is better and faster -Long exposure is decent -4K at usable frame-rates (hero 3 could only do 15fps) -Sweet 120fps slow motion at 1080 -More wireless connectivity(some hiccups, but can work) -More slow-motion -Sharpness is satisfactory -Low-light is decent enough -More manual control What's not to like? -Battery still not great -No rear touchscreen -Doesn't make bacon pancakes **New manual controls: Finally, you can make exposure adjustments! For instance: for night time-lapses, you usually want longer exposure times/shutter speed, and you can now do it with this little cam. *photos uploaded are from the beach, early morning shore-break photographed some waves using the "30/1" burst shot with the stock water-housing the Gopro came with.

I love the camera! I use it everyday as a dash camera. I use the heck out of the time-lapse feature, both night and day modes. Battery life is fine for me. Shooting 4K video will of course drain the battery rather quickly, but shooting video at 1080P at 30fps it will last between 2-3 hours. I have a harness that I use on my dog.. good times! Honestly can't say enough good things about the camera. Thus the rating is based on the purchase of the camera. Side note, GoPro software and GoPro Studio Software are a bit finicky. (Free to download from manufactures website) You will need to have Quicktime installed on the computer in order to be able to import your media. However, Quicktime does not need to be used nor set as a default program for the GoPro software to function. Which is great for us Windows users. If you have questions, their tech support has been their to help. Some techs are smarter than others but overall I would give them a "B" grade in support. To some things up, If you enjoy shooting all types of photography and video I would strongly recommend this camera. I would do some research on which model works best for your wants/needs but since the Hero 4 Black was on sale, I couldn't resist.

Camera was easy to use. Takes great photos and videos. Easy to switch between the two modes.

Having purchased my GoPro Hero 3+ already, the GoPro Hero4 took me by surprise. It is very easy to operate and the new 4K quality along with the one-touch button makes this the camera to have. It takes a few times to get use to the operation change from the Hero 3+ but it's worth it. One of the best features of the Hero 4 is exporting still frames from the videos I shoot. The quality (as seen in the attached photo) proves my point.

To get the true image and videos must see on hdtv! Awesome videos and pictures! Cool underwater water video. Had a blast with it on my vacation . Took it to sea world aqutica/key west. My 8yr old had it with the head mount go pro has. Underwater and his r/c car ,money well spent,worth it!

This camera is awesome. It has taken a beating on the lake, it has fallen from about 10 feet to the ground from my drone.(new mounting idea. It didn't work). And it's still shooting awesome footage. I'm ready to buy 3 more.

This thing is a great. We bought it for our dog who will be apart of my fiance and I's wedding since we did not want to pay for a videographer. The video is beautiful, I cannot believe how good it looks on my macbook. It is actually forcing me to look at 4K TV's in my very near future. At first we only bought this for our wedding. We immediately saw that we will be taking this thing everywhere. We are looking at all kinds of attachments as there are hundreds to pick and choose from. It is very simple to use, I believe I have become very comfortable with it with just about 5 hours of tinkering and playing with it (if that). The only thing I really don't like, is that the attachments are really expensive. You are looking at least $50 for any kind of attachment for this thing. I was also disappointed that it didn't come with at least a hand holding attachment.

Robodores robotics team used this camera and the accessories to shoot footage of the robotics team competing at FIRST Robotics-you get great picture quality with Go Pro 4k. Our YouTube video is getting a lot of views, too!

Nice and small to carry for underwater pictures and video. Did have some issues with syncing to ipad and computer. Got Go Pro support on the phone and the guy was great help! Love our purchase and will be buying another so we can both film while diving. The tiny screen is tough to read when trying to set options.

We took pictures of our group of 10 thru Europe. So easy to focus and catch all the important background scenes of Museums, skylines and Cathedrals! Stick folds up for pocket or purse! Best invention ever!

Whats to say that hasnt been said about this camera. Its really nice and shoots beautiful video. I chose this over the hero5 due to the hardcase and it saved me when i dropped it into a waterfall and it went flying off my headmount. Capturing video along the way. Only downside is that it uses the older type of charger that none of my electronics have and having wifi activated and shooting in 4k will drain the battery fairly quickly.

My friend loves skiing and he wants to take pictures when skiing and he loves this set of camera.

I always wanted to buy a Gopro, but now that it comes with 4K resolution it's a Must hahaha.

Got the camera with factory 1.02.1 firmware but it was glitchy while recording 120 frames per second. Decided to update the firmware to fix the issue but it made the camera even worse. It records for several seconds than freezes. The red light is blinking but counter/ timer is standing still. It happens around 30,40 sometimes little over a minute mark. Also the purple screen comes on when playing back the video. It's almost like camera is trying to adjust colors while in record mode. It goes from purple to over saturated green to pale red. Got to be the new firmware. Camera gets hot in the housing and maybe it causing all these issues. Waiting for waterproof iPhone to come out which will make go pro apsolete. I'm using sandisk 64gig 80mbps in this camera and my computer is a toshiba b55t-b5233 i7 core laptop with 1 TB hard drive and 16gb ddr3l 1600MHz
