If you prefer to film and grab still shots from a 12 mp frame, then go with the Black version. I had a Hero 3 where I would film my still shots in 4k (was only 12 fps), then switch back to 1080p for my action shots. With the Hero 4 Black, I can nearly always shoot in 4k 30 fps and pull still shots anytime I want. I have the Touchscreen Bacpac and find myself not using more often then not. More important to me is the Battery Bacpac because these are battery hogs, thus making the built in touchscreen pointless.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Doesn't matter. They both are awesome cameras. But both have horrible battery life, and probably with the touch screen, it'll use up more battery to power up the screen.. I wonder the other hand got the GPro Hero Black. I suggest getting several battery packs if you want to record several video/pic when going to an adventure that'll eat up the battery life until you know it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Personally I have already bought the Black edition and I am not upset about not having the screen that I can purchase anyways later on if I choose so. The extra wide angle makes it easy to get everything in view. I purchased the Black edition so I would just be prepared for technology and when more things switch to 4K. Hope this helps some.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My choice is the Black Edition 4K with the Backpak touchscreen display. This is what I use for underwater video. The Backpak increases the camera profile about 3/8" so it's not a significant change in size. I've had 2 Backpaks. They work very well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.i prefer the black.. you can also get real time feed in your smart phone and all the settings and functions. plus improve battery life and better image on low light conditions.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would get the Black and buy an LCD BacPack. Then you get both.
