“If no 4K TV to watch video, silver or black? Stoped at Jackson store & asked about 4 silver vs black. (Dude was crazy helpful) Wondering if I don't have a 4K tv or other devices 2 view the videos, is there any reason to spend the extra $100 on the black. he seemed to think probably not worth it. I agree that the Black is not worth the extra $100 if you don't have a 4K TV. The files are incredibly large and limit the amount of data you can store on the SD card. With the SIlver you get the added touchscreen on the back that is far more useful to me than 4K 30FPS. I have a 1080p television and do far more filming in 720P than 1080P because the difference is negligible when you're not filming for Hollywood.

I bought the black for two reasons: 4K and more FPS in other video quality sizes. Yoyu can record up to 240fps at 720p. You may not have a 4K TV now, but it will be the new standard in a couple of years as it is now the full HD. In a few years when you will be watching your videos you will ask your self if it was the right decition between silver or black.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The black offers 4K technology which means better quality of videos. Keep in mind to view 4K at it's mamax capacity you'll need the equipment to do duo. My recommendation is that if you're gonna invest in the 4k camera get the 4k tv as well.

Please try again later.If you don't expect to buy a 4k device anytime soon and you're not going to use your video footage for semi- or professional uses, and you're not nitpicky on having all the greatest resolutions and frame rates available, I'd agree and say get the 4 silver. Footage from the 4 silver is still very very nice. Use the $100 you saved to buy accessories. I've probably already spent close to or over $200 just on accessories. Sigh. And the 4 silver does have the built in back screen that is very convenient.
