• It does come with a battery that can be charged while in the camera. You can use any USB charger with the cable that comes with the camera. I did purchase a second battery for backup. I just plugged the camera in as needed to charge the battery. You can buy an external battery charger to use with any USB charger you have. Don't forget to rinse the camera off with fresh tap water if you use it in salt water.
