“I want to get a dash camera type camera so I can record my travels in my motor home, My wife is handicapped so a normal camera or video camera is out of the question as she cannot work them while we are driving. What GoPro would work best for me”

This is basically a mini camera that takes video and photos just like any handheld. This should work for you.
