Good question. a protective adhesive may degrade the quality of the video, however, don't believe gopro makes one, but doesn't hurt to buy one for a cell phone and cut it out to fit the gopro, do some recording compare the quality and if it works, great! Otherwise if you do scratch the protective lens, they do have a replacement at target for $19.99.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There are replacement covers for the front (lens) of the Hero5, but a less expensive approach I think would be to purchase a case, I'm assuming that the paint is water based, if not you're screwed!
