The remote only starts and stops video recording and takes pictures. You cannot see what you've recorded as it doesn't have a screen. It can replace the phone app but I wouldn't

It took some time for me to get used to using it. What I liked a lot about it was how I could strap it to my wrist and go. And how it's water proof to.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The GoPro remote (Remo) allows the user to start and stop a recording without the need for the full GoPro app on your iPhone. The phone is still great to review the video and watch in real time, but it can be cumbersome if time is of the issue and the camera is already mounted and ready to go. Just hit the clipped on remote to start everything and you're recording.
