• I have used mine hand held at a concert but normally you will use it mounted to some time of mounting bracket. It doesn't have any zoom capability, it has a fixed lens. You can crop in during editing which will increase the relative size of objects.

• There is no zoom what so every but has a very good field of view. If you can see it with a naked eye, the camera will get it for sure.
