• The batteries for the HERO9 Black are unique to that model, so batteries from previous GoPro cameras will not work with the HERO9 Black. Likewise, because the HERO9 Black is a different shape and size than previous models, accessories like dive housings that enclose the camera will not work between the models. However, nearly all other accessories, including most mounts and the USB-C charging cable, will work with both the HERO5 and the HERO9.

• No it will not work; batteries are bigger in hero 9 and you do not need to use a case since hero 8.
