Yes it's compatible but the Hero9 battery has a longer Record Time than the Hero8 battery but they both can be used on the Hero9 if need be and won't harm your Hero9 device itself. I've been using my 2 new Hero8 batteries I barley used with my hero 8 and haven't noticed much of a difference tho when I'm recording long videos with my GoPro it's normally connected to my YouTube Streaming Channel using my alienware Laptop with 3 GoPro Setup for my Rip& Ship Streams or Booster Box Break Videos for Pokémon, GPk, #OnePiece and much more @PokeTr0yz on All Socials
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.HERO8 Black batteries are a different size than the batteries designed for the HERO9 Black, so the HERO8 batteries will not work in the HERO9 Black. The HERO9 Black set includes the HERO9 Black camera, a carrying case, a rechargeable battery, a curved adhesive mount, a mounting buckle with thumb screw, and a USB-C cable.
