YES IT IS WATER PROOF AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT PUT ANY MODS ON IT

Yes, the HERO9 Black is waterproof on its own down to 33 feet. If you plan to go deeper than that, there is a housing that is sold separately that is great for those deep dives.
