• A:Answer GoPro does not make a gimbal for the HERO8 Black. The HERO8 Black has an advanced stabilization feature that's done in camera. If you are looking for an additional stabilizer, there may be third party products that may work with the HERO8.

Q: QuestionPeople use gimbals for reasons other than just stabilization. For example keeping the horizon level with minimal cropping in post, non-action artistic choice, etc. Today I'm buying an M2 instead of Karma.

• A:Answer The stabilizer grip itself doesn't insert into the Karma, but you are able to remove the harness that holds the GoPro from the grip and connect that onto the Karma drone to stabilize your drone shots.

While never ideal riding with a gimbal on the chest -- along with use of the extender ($99) you can use the karma gimbal and put the grip handle in your backpack, along with an external battery for 8+ hours runtime, depending on your memory card.
