“Does this case provide protection for the GoPro? Will it keep it from breaking if it is dropped?”

• Kind of, but not really. I dropped my GoPro with this on it and it protected it, but scratched the media mod.

• The Media Mod isn't really designed as a protective housing, so while it may provide some protection if the GoPro is dropped, it won't provide as much protection as a housing would, and you may damage the Media Mod as well. If you're concerned about protecting your HERO8, be sure to take a look at the Protective Housing designed for the HERO8.
