“Can the mount mechanism on the bottom of the housing be removed for better ergonomics when not mounted?”

• No, it’s all one piece. The only removable part is the back door cover which can be switched out with the included “skeleton cover” which allows you access to the touch screen on the back of the camera. Keep in mind, the “skeleton cover” DOES NOT keep your GoPro watertight past the cameras default water depth of 33 feet. To go deeper, you must you the regular back cover door!

• The mounting fingers on the bottom of the HERO9 Black can fold up into the body of the camera when they're not needed.
