A:Answer Hello John - The auger for this unit are made of plastic or hard rubber, polyethylene plastic which makes it less likely to damage the deck planking, please be advised that if there is a lip or an uneven section the scraper may catch on this. Using any snow thrower on a Trex composite material we would advise caution.
