• the auger is a durable hard plastic and works great on my TREX decks with no damage at all.

• Hello mvlo - The snow blower can be used on this type of surface, however, please be advised that if there is a lip or an uneven section the scraper may catch on this.This electric snow blower has a rigid plastic paddle instead of metal, and should not damage deck material however, we do always advise caution. You can also test the product in an inconspicuous area as you do not want to risk an issue.
