Yes, yourself propelled. You have to push it. I don't think it weighs enough to be self propelled. There would not be enough traction.

No, but it works like a dream! I bought one right before Christmas. I just bought a second one for son in law. It will be here Wednesday. It made this winter's insane snowfall so easy. I couldn't have done it without this magical machine. I live on a farm, so not only a driveway and walkway to clear. I also need to get to outbuildings and other areas, it is a wonderful product. I bought an extra battery so I could get it all done. My SIL has a much smaller area so he will not need an extra battery. :-)
